Garganuda (Veneto)

Andrea Fiorini found his love for natural wine when he spent time with his brother-in-law and also winemaker Stefano Menti. This encounter spurred him to start making his own wines. Now Andrea cultivates his own vineyards in Soave and Valpolicella, using the small, biodynamically cultivated plots and taking advantage of Menti's facilities. With Menti's support, Andrea aims to improve the reputation of Soave, once considered a simple table wine. By using biodynamic methods on volcanic soils, the results are remarkable: the wines are complex and full of energy.

Andrea's passion for winemaking was awakened by stories from his grandparents, former winemakers. Since childhood, he nurtured an interest in the profession. His dream of making wine in a traditional way, respecting the historical characteristics of Soave, became a reality after meeting Stefano Menti. Under Mentis guidance, Andrea introduced a biodynamic farming model to the vineyards and applied spontaneous fermentation in the cellar. Garganuda was the first company to achieve DOC status by combining biodynamic farming and spontaneous fermentation.
